🛍️ Muslim Lane – Return & Replacement Policy (Shariah Compliant & Customer-Centric)

Effective from 1 April 2025 for orders placed after this date.

At Muslim Lane, our policies are rooted in Islamic Sharia principles, aiming to uphold fairness, transparency, and customer satisfaction in every transaction. We are committed to serving you with integrity while adhering to the teachings of Islam in trade and ethics.

🕌 Guiding Principles (Based on Sharia)

1. Transparency in Transactions

“O you who have believed, when you contract a debt for a specified term, write it down...”
(Qur’an – Surah Al-Baqarah: 2:282)
We clearly document our replacement and return policies to prevent confusion and ensure mutual understanding.

2. Honesty in Trade

“The truthful and trustworthy merchant will be with the Prophets, the truthful, and the martyrs.”
(Tirmidhi)
We aim to conduct every transaction with truthfulness and trust.

3. Seller’s Responsibility

Islamic ethics hold the seller accountable for delivering items in good condition. We promptly resolve issues involving incorrect, damaged, or defective products.

🔁 Replacement Policy (Only Genuine Replacement Allowed)

✅ Free Replacement

We offer free replacements under the following conditions:

  • Product is incorrect, defective, damaged, or torn

  • Replacement request is made within 7 days of delivery

  • Clear supporting evidence (images/videos) is provided

  • Product is unused, unwashed, with tags and packaging intact

🟢 No additional charges will apply for such genuine issues.
🟢 A replacement will be dispatched within 5–7 working days after verification.

⚠️ Replacement for Correct Products (e.g., Size/Color Preferences)

We strongly encourage mindful purchases. However, if you still request a different size, color, or design despite having received the correct item:

  • Charges Apply:

    • ₹199 for reverse pickup

    • ₹199 for re-shipping

    • Capped at ₹599 for orders under ₹10,000

  • Subject to availability of the desired replacement variant

  • Customer must raise the request within 7 days

🚫 Items tried, washed, altered, or worn are not eligible for any exchange.

❌ No Return/Replacement for Customized Orders

We do not accept return or replacement for customized products (such as altered lengths, tailored sleeves, custom sizes, etc.)
🔹 Exception: Only if the customized product is damaged, defective, or torn, you may request a free replacement within 7 days.

This ensures fairness in production and avoids waste, in line with Islamic business ethics.

Return Policy

In accordance with Islamic business ethics and to reduce wastage (Israf), we do not support return requests purely due to preference (change of mind, style dislike, etc.).

However, we permit returns in limited, justified cases where:

  • The product is unused and in its original packaging

  • Request is made within 7 days of delivery

  • Valid reason is provided and reviewed case-by-case

📦 Courier Fee Deduction for Returns:

  • Domestic Orders (India): ₹199 per item (max ₹599 for orders up to ₹10,000)

  • International Orders: Returns are not supported; only genuine replacements are allowed for wrong/damaged items

💰 Refund Process:

  • Refunds (if approved) will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after returned product verification.

🌍 International Orders

  • ✅ Replacements are offered only for incorrect, defective, or damaged products

  • ❌ Returns, size/design changes, or preference-based requests are not accepted

  • Customers must provide proof (photo/video) within 7 days of delivery
